In an interview with Roger Schneider from SPIEGEL Politik, Heiko Giebler talks about the CDU's reaction to the mass protests in Berlin, which were organized after the CDU and AfD voted together on the “Zustrombegrenzungsgesetz”.
Heiko Giebler points out the potential dangers implied by the CDU's strategy: focusing on a one-sided dominant issue, such as migration, could lead to the parties disappearing into ‘insignificance’. Conservative parties in France and Italy have already undergone this development.
