Campuses at FU Berlin and HU Berlin supply, inter alia, parent-child rooms and baby care rooms and offer borrowing playing bags for children. Furthermore, WZB supports its employees in the coordination of work and family obligations.

Childcare during conferences or meetings can be organized via an agency named "Agentur Pünktchen". FU Berlin proposes text modules to design invitations, a sample form for the registration of children as well as tips regarding organizational matters. MoKis (= mobile childcare service) is an equivalent model, promoted by the senate administration of education, youth and science in order to support parents with special working hours.

Emergency childcare seeks to cover unforeseen childcare needs, which coincide with urgent work-related appointments. FU Berlin signed a contract with a family service facility to provide emergency care for university employees.

Intern and extern holiday offers and leisure activities for children of different ages are supplied by HU Berlin. Equally, FU Berlin offers different sport portfolios for families during the non-lecture period and offers a holiday program for children.

Due to Covid-19, the holiday offers also include several digital activities.

Support in finding private childcare, nursery schools and schools in Berlin is available via a continually updated list of private childcare agencies, a list of nursery schools and schools, sorted by districts or via the homepage of the senate.
