Every November, Berlin is the place to be for scientific exchange and conversation, with a diverse programme of more than 200 in-person and online events during a whole week, organised by the Falling Walls Foundation. In interactive formats that range from panel talks, workshops, science slams, exhibitions to VR experiences and film screenings, the most outstanding scientists address topics such as Health & Well-being, Discovering Earth & Space, Societal Trends & Transformations, Art & Science and many more.
While there are events all over the city, the festival centre is the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin and the adjacent Humboldt-Universität. There, many institutions, like SCRIPTS, offer interesting events, exhibitions, and interventions around a common topic, like the Corona pandemic or socio-ecological sustainability.
SCRIPTS is happy to be part of lively debates, controversial discussions, fruitful conversations and enriching encounters, online or in person. By doing so, we get SCRIPTS out of the university and go into diverse non-academic, public venues. Also, during the Science Week, we cooperate with the other Clusters of Excellence of Berlin.
