Guest Lecture | "US White Evangelical Populism: How We Got Here and Its Political Future" with Marcia Pally at FU Berlin
The guest lecture by Marcia Pally (New York University) at Freie Universität Berlin looks at how white evangelicalism affects US domestic and foreign policy and embraces the populist right. Public event on site at Freie Universität Berlin and in livestream (here), moderated by Prof. Thomas Risse.
In her lecture, Prof. Marcia Pally will look at present evangelicalism as it affects US domestic and foreign policy and importantly, at how populism works and the history, religion tenets, and present conditions that brought white evangelicals to embrace the populist right. These are what gives populism its persuasiveness and bite.
