Dr. phil. in Latin American Studies from the University of Cologne (Germany), MSc in Latin American Studies from the University of Oxford (England), BA in Sociology and Communication from the Catholic University of Asunción (Paraguay).  Her areas of interest and research include gender relations and their relation to politics, analysis of narratives and symbolic-social discourses, the circulation and history of ideas. 

She is currently a IRC Posdoctoral Fellow within the SCRIPTS Cluster focusing on the analysis of masculinity within the extreme right wing in the Southern Cone of Latin America.

Current Research Projects at SCRIPTS

Her current project within the SCRIPTS Cluster focuses on analysing masculinity within the extreme right in the Southern Cone of Latin America. Starting from the mobilisation of an anti-feminist and anti-gender discourse, the project analyses the aspects related to masculinity that have managed to mobilise a mass of male followers, establishing parameters of masculinity that are far removed from liberal-democratic models.
