A Critical Inquiry into Freedom of Movement: Race, Colonialism and the Making of International Law.
Anam is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the SCRIPTS project “Race and Multilateralism: The Anatomy of a Complex Institution”. She has previously studied Law and History (LLB) at the University of Edinburgh. She also received a Masters in International Law (LLM) from the University of Edinburgh. She has been enrolled as an advocate of the Pakistan Bar Council since 2016. Anam completed her doctoral studies at the Berlin Graduate School for Global and Transregional Studies (BGTS), Freie Universität Berlin. Her research interests include TWAIL (third world approaches to international law); postcolonial and decolonial thought; history and theory of international order; and the global governance of human mobility.
