Bidzina Lebanidze is a research associate and reader at the University of Freiburg and a senior analyst at Georgian Institute of Politics. Since August 2017 he also holds the non-resident associate Professorship at Ilia State University. He obtained his doctorate in Political Science from the Free University of Berlin, and his Master’s degree in International Relations from Tbilisi State University. Before joining the University of Freiburg, he worked as a researcher at the Free University of Berlin and lectured at the Berlin School of Economics and Law. His areas of expertise include International Relations, democratization, Europeanization, European Integration, International political economy, Eastern Europe and Eurasia.
